Mrs. Karen Boatright is an English instructor for Thayer Central
Community Schools teaching English 9/Speech, English 10 Language
Skills/Fundamentals of Literature, yearbook, and careers classes at
the high school. This is her third year teaching at TCHS. She
received a Bachelor of Science degree in English from Nebraska
Wesleyan University, Lincoln. She loves English and working with
young people. In addition to teaching, she is assistant Speech
coach, volunteer Fellowship of Christian Athletes Huddle Coach, and
sophomore class sponsor.
Aside from school activities and classroom preparation, she is
active at her church, New Life Assembly of God, Hebron, where her
husband, Tim, pastors. He also works at the alternative school and
is a substitute bus driver. Their daughter, Abigail, is a toddler
who is a joy to their home and keeps them on their toes! In
addition to spending time with family and friends, Karen takes
pleasure from baking and horse riding.
