Important Things to Remember

  1. Don’t wait until the last minute to apply.  Many scholarships require essays, recommendation letters and/or references.  These things take time.

  1. When asking for recommendation letters, please give the person 2-3 weeks to get this done.

  1. If listing a person as a reference, please contact them first and ask permission to use their name, address and phone number.

  1. Always type your application.  There is a typewriter in the guidance office and library.

  1. Don’t forget to look over your previous scholarship lists.
