District Staff: Elementary: Julie Kriesel

Mrs. Julie Kriesel

December 20, 2007

Hello, I am Julie Kriesel, the elementary resource teacher at Thayer Central School. My husband, Kent, and daughter, Andrea, and I live in Hebron. Reading, crossword puzzles, music, and playing the piano and organ are hobbies I enjoy in my spare time. My family attends Sacred Heart Church in Hebron, where I am the church organist.

I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, and have taken 36+ graduate hours in education.  This January, I will complete my twenty-eighth year of teaching.  Before teaching in Hebron, I was a resource teacher in Fairbury, NE.   I believe that all children can learn, maybe not in the same way or at the same rate, but if given the opportunity and help, they CAN learn.  I want to be able to help each child work to his or her potential and have success in learning.  Being able to work with children is very rewarding. No two days are the same, and being able to guide and watch children grow and learn is a wonderful experience.
