Thayer Central Junior High Titans traveled to Superior on Tuesday and captured the championship plaque placing first out of eight teams.

The Junior High boys took home two gold medals on Tuesday afternoon. Dietrich Brinegar won the 110 high hurdles with a time of 00:19.08. In addition, the 4x400 relay team of Spencer Moore, Kalen Wenske, Macaulay Mumm and Michael Feulner also won gold with a time of 04:23.00
Second place winners include: Michael Fuelner in the 800m and 1200m runs, Cody Mumm in the discus, Kalen Wenske in the Triple Jump, Dietrich Brinegar for the 300m hurdles, and the 4x100m relay team with Wenske, Trenton Tietjen, Macaulay Mumm & Brian Loontjer.

Earning bronze medals were Cody Mumm in the shot put, Brinegar in the 800m run and triple jump, Dalton Kenning in the 110m high hurdles, and Moore in the 1200m run.
The 4th place medal went to Andrew Wilshusen in the shot put.
5th place honors were taken by Clayton Hintz in the high jump and Macaulay Mumm in the long jump.
6th place awards were given to Spencer Moore in the 400m dash and triple jump.

Thayer Central Junior High boys won the meet with total of 108 points, closely followed by Lawrence Nelson/ Sandy Creek with 104 points.
