Republic County Junior Invite

The Thayer Central Junior High Girls Track Team competed in the Republic County Junior High Invite on April 24, 2008. Congratulations to the girls for all of their hard work!
Maggie Goldhammer took home a second place medal in the girls discus throw with a throw of 76ft 1.5in; and Jasmine Kovacs in the high jump with a jump of 4ft 6in.
Taking home fourth places medals were: Brittney Gress in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 14.32 seconds; Bridgette Baden in the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:54.85 and in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 6:19.65; Jasmine Kovacs in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 19.11 seconds; and Kinsey Tietjen in the triple jump with a jump of 28ft 4.5in.
The girls 4x100 Meter Relay took home a 5th place medal with a time of 58.77 seconds, and the girls 4X400 Meter Relay took home a 4th place medal with a time of 4:56.65. The 4 x 100 Relay members were Jasmine Kovacs, Amber Burdette, Tarryn Tietjen, ad Brittney Gress. The 4 x 400 Relay members were Kinsey Tietjen, Claire Johnson, Bridgette, and Brittney Gress.
Kinsey Tietjen placed 6th in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:19:45.
The girls’ 8th grade team was able to take home the 6th place title in the meet.
