Junior High Tri County Meet

The Thayer Central Junior High Girls competed in the Tri County Invitational on April 28, 2008. Congratulations to the girls for taking home 4th place in the meet!
Taking home second place medals were: Bridgette Baden the 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:53.0; and Brittney Gress in the High Jump with a jump of 4’6”.
Third place finishers were: Kinsey Tietjen in the Long Jump with a jump of 13ft 5 3/4 in; Jasmine Kovacs in the High Jump with a jump of 4’6”, and in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 18.27; Maggie Goldhammer in the Discus with a throw of 76ft 2in; Brittney Gress in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 14.31; and the 4 X 100 Meter Relay team. The relay consisted of Jasmine Kovacs, Amber Burdette, Tarryn Tietjen, and Brittney Gress.
Fourth place finishers were: Tarryn Tietjen in the Long Jump with a jump of 12ft 8.5 in; Jasmine Kovacs in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 55.04; the 4 X 800 Meter Relay with a time of 14:35.78 and the 4 X 400 Meter Relay team with a time of 5:01.25. Members of the 4 x 800 were Maggie Goldhammer, Ashley Peterson, Morgan Fangmeier, and Claire Johnson. Members of the 4 x 400 relay were Claire Johnson, Kinsey Tietjen, Bridgette Baden, and Brittney Gress.
Fifth place finisher was: Kinsey Tietjen in the Triple Jump with a jump of 28ft 71/4in., and in the 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:09.24.
Sixth place finisher was: Bridgette Baden in the long jump with a jump of 12ft 5.5in.
