Southern Nebraska Confrence Track

The Thayer Central Junior High Girls Track Team competed in the Southern Nebraska Junior High Conference meet on May 3, 2008 at Superior. Congratulations to the girls for placing 7^th out of 12 teams in the meet.

Earning a 1^st place medal was Jasmine Kovacs in the 100 Meter Hurdles with a time of 17.56.

Taking home a 3^rd place medal was Maggie Goldhammer in the Discus with a throw of 86ft 4in.

 4^th place medalers were: the 4 X 400 Meter Relay with a time of 4:49.44. Members of the relay were Kinsey Tietjen, Bridgette Baden, Claire Johnson, and Brittney Gress. Brittney also placed 4^th in the High Jump with a jump of 4ft 4in.

Taking home the 5^th place medals were: the 4 X 100 Meter Relay with a time of 58.57. Relay members were Jasmine Kovacs, Amber Burdette, Tarryn Tietjen, and Brittney Gress. Other 5^th place winners were Jasmine Kovacs in the High Jump with a jump of 4ft 4in and in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 57.05 seconds; and Bridgette Baden in the 1600 Meter Run with a time of 6:18.83.

Earning 6^th place medals were: Kaely Ayala in the Pole Vault with a vault of 6ft; Kinsey Tietjen in the Long Jump with a jump of 13ft 10 in and Brittney Gress in the 100 Meter Dash with a time of 14.11 seconds.
