Scholarship List 2008-2009 This is the entire list. Many scholarships do not have applications out yet so keep checking the website or see Mrs. Brzon. If new scholarships come out, students will be notified. Important Things to Remember 1. Don’t wait until the last minute to apply. Many scholarships require essays, recommendation letters and/or references. These things take time. 2. When asking for recommendation letters, please give the person 2-3 weeks to get this done. 3. If listing a person as a reference, please contact them first and ask permission to use their name, address and phone number. Always type your application. There is a typewriter in the guidance office and library.

NAIFA Scholarship Deadline: March 3 Must be interested in study of education, business/management/finance, marketing/sales, or actuarial studies; and preference given to those who attend a Nebraska university, college, or community college. Must have an above-average grade point average in high school. Must demonstrate good character, leadership, and interest in furthering their education.
Nebraska Press Assoc. Deadline: March 7 Must attend a college in Nebraska and interest in studying areas related to journalism.
Little Blue Natural Resources District – High School Deadline – March 7 Applicant must reside within the Little Blue Natural Resources District and attend a 2 or 4 year college and plan to study conservation or environmental field. These include: Ag-business, Ag Ed, Ag Engineering, Agronomy, Animal Science, Crop Protection, Diversified Ag, Entomology, Horticulture, Forestry, Insect Management, Pest Management, Fisheries, Soil Science, Water Science and Range Science.
Nebraska Crop Improvement Association Deadline: March 15 Must attend UNL and enrolled in a program offered by the Dept. of Agronomy and Horticulture.
