Thayer Central FBLA Travels to Omaha
April 07, 2009
On April 2-4,
ten students from Thayer Central attended the Future Business
Leaders of America State Leadership Conference held in Omaha. Over
1,900 FBLA members from across the state were on hand to
participate in the conference activities.
Competitive events began at 4:00 p.m. Thursday and finished at 8:30

seniors also participated in a mock job interview. Throughout the
conference, the members attended general sessions, leadership
seminars, voted on next year’s state officers, and had the
opportunity to attend karaoke and a dance.
At Friday night’s general session, Kelsey Loontjer once again
earned recognition for her efforts. She was awarded Honorable
Mention (top 5%) in Business Communication and Business
Procedures.
Others attending were Andrea Kriesel, Whitney Pfingsten, Jeffrey
Bantam, Andrew Craig, Joseph Dougherty, Jenica Jarchow, Kelsey
Dightman, Jessica Dutton, Brittney Gress, and adviser Chris
