Titans Junior Varsity Splits Two Games

The Thayer Central Titans junior varsity boys basketball team split their last weekend's games as they defeated Friend on Friday by a score of 45-19 and fell to Fairbury by a score of 45-40 on Saturday.With these two games, the Titans record stands a 1-2 for the season.

On Friday, the Titans jumped out to a 25-3 lead after one quarter and didn't look back. Junior post Kesston Fink led the Titans with 10 points as ten Titans hit the scoring column Macaulay Mumm added nine and junior Dylan Long added eight points.Long and Fink led the Titans in rebounding with four and three respectively.Fink and freshman Kalen Wenske each added three steals.

On Saturday, the Titans were led by freshman guard Macaulay Mumm who hit for 14 points on five for seven shooting.Fellow freshman Kalen Wenske added seven points and grabbed four rebounds.Freshman guard Gregory Dightman added five points as did Junior Kesston Fink.A duo of Titans added four points each, junior Dylan Long and Sophomore Brayden Hergott. 

The Titans will next see action this weekend as they will travel to Henderson to play Heartland on Friday and will host Tri County on Saturday. Both contests will tip off at 4:30 p.m.
