Titans Frosh Top Fairbury

Behind the strength of their team defense, the Thayer Central freshman boys basketball team defeated the host Fairbury Jeffs by the score of 46-29 on Thursday. The Titans jumped out to a 25-14 half time lead and didn't look back. With the victory, the young titans upped their record to 3-0 for the season. 

Offensively, the Titans were led by Cody Mumm and Brian Loontjer. The duo scored 14 and 13 points respectively. Macaulay Mumm scored 8 points, while Kalen Wenske and Gregory Dightman added 7 and 4. Macaulay also led the Titans in rebounding with 9, while Loontjer grabbed 7 boards. Dietrich Brinegar  dished out 3 assists and Dightman added 3 steals.

The Titans regularly scheduled game with Bellville on Thursday the 21st has been postponed to a later date. The Titans will next see action on the 25th as they travel to Superior to take on the Wildcats. Tip off will be after the girls game that will begin at 5:00 pm.
