Lady Titans Split Games Between Two SNC Rivals

On Thursday January 21st, the Lady Titans defeated the No.4 ranked team in Class C2, Superior. The Lady Titans were shooting hot and it showed. The Titans won 54-48. Leading the way for the Titans was Senior Lindsay Welch with 14 points, while fellow Senior Sheila Heitmann recorded 12. Rebounding for the Titans was junior Cody Long with 11 boards and Junior Michaela Marsh added 5 rebounds and 9 points.
On Saturday, January 23rd, the Lady Titans were poised for another upset but were beaten in the last seconds of the game. The Titans traveled to Sandy Creek to take on the No. 1 team in Class C2 only losing by 1 point in the end. The Lady Titans competed and turned in one of the best performances of the season. The Titans found themselves up by 7, only to be undone by Sandy Creek hitting 2 threes and sinking 2 freethrows to seal the victory.
Leading the way for the Titans was Senior Sheila Heitmann with 13 points, while Junior Michaela Marsh added 10 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Claire Timmerman went 4 for 5 on 2 point shots and ended with 9 points. Cody Long led all Titan rebounders with 10 boards and also threw 8 assists.
