New Staff At Thayer Central

This year Thayer Central has some new faculty members.
In the elementary, Scott Hill, a Hebron High alumn, is teaching second grade. Mr. Hill will be helping to coach junior high football and basketball. Dennis Johnson, the head boys' basketball coach and an assistant football coach, comes to Thayer Central from Franklin, Nebraska. Mr. Johnson will also be teaching second grade. Thayer Central also has a new head football coach, Josh Lanik. Mr. Lanik teaches P.E. and health K-12.
In the high school, Stephanie Lanik will be teaching high school English as well as American Literature. She is the daughter of long-time teacher at Thayer, Deb Vorderstrasse, and graduated in 1999 from Hebron High. Another new face is Emily Winter who will be teaching in the science department. To the Art department comes Don Wassom, who is a 42-year teaching veteran and also graduated from Hebron High. Finally, Randy Mesloh, a familiar face, will be teaching half-time in the shop building.
