Congratulations to State Champion Trevor Hartley. In the first round Trevor pinned Quinten Chancellor in 52 seconds. In the second round he pinned Taylor Hoffman in 2:36. In the semifinals Trevor pinned Bryce Davis (who was undefeated) in 4:26. In the final round he pinned previously unbeaten Ben Burmester of Pender 35 seconds into overtime to win the crown at 182 pounds.

Also congratulations to Cody Krula who placed 4th in the 138 weight class. Cody won 8-5 over Shane Beckman in the first round, but then lost 17-1 to the state champion Tanner Taubenheim. He then pinned Tony Steinkraus in 4:22 and then beat Jared Kuta. In the finals he lost 4-2 to Shane Keasling.

Good job to both Dalton Kenning and Clayton Hintz for going 2-2 in the tournament. They both lost in the first round but then made it to the 3rd round wrestle-backs.

Thayer Central placed 8th as a team at state.
