Student Council's Spring Blood Drive
Student Council’s Spring Blood Drive
Spring is the season of new life and rejuvenation. With that in mind, it’s also a great time to donate blood to help save a life. On March 22nd, High School Student Council will be hosting another blood drive conducted by the Nebraska Community Blood Bank. The blood drive will take place in the parking lot north of the high school building from 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Student Council members are currently recruiting donors and are hoping that you will consider giving blood on this date if you are able. While appointments are preferred, walk-ins are also welcome.
One change this year is that 16-year-old students may donate if they meet the weight requirements and have a signed permission form from a parent. Student Council members have these forms to distribute, or students can get them from Staci Hergott or Lara Harms at school. If your student is interested in giving back to the community in this way, we would love to have him or her donate with your permission. If you have questions or concerns about your student donating or if you would like to schedule an appointment, please contact Staci Hergott or Lara Harms at 402-768-6117.
Blood donation indeed saves lives and requires very little time or effort. The Student Council members appreciate the support the community has shown in the past for these blood drives, and they look forward to a successful blood drive on March 22nd!
