Betty Meyer, Thayer Central Media Specialist, and media aides Linda Heitmann and Rhonda Starbuck invited the students of the Thayer Central National Honor Society to be guest readers for the elementary classrooms to celebrate READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY on Wednesday, March 3nd.
The guest readers read a selection of stories to the RISING STARS pre-school and RISING STARS-Lollipop Lane pre-school. Thayer Central Students Finish DVD Projects! Thayer Central Students have completed several DVD editing projects recently that you may wish to purchase. The athletic highlight DVD’s include: Cross Country, Volleyball, and Football. Softball is not complete at this time but will be done by March 1st. On February 9, sixty-eight Thayer Central students participated in the annual American Mathematics Competition (AMC). The contest is divided into two sections—one for freshman and sophomore mathematics students and the other for juniors and seniors. In each section students are given 25 multiple choice questions to solve. Points are awarded for correct answers and un-attempted problems, while no points are granted for incorrect answers.
