Welcome To Mrs. Tietjen's Page!
I have been teaching in Thayer County since 1990. Those years have been spent teaching Kindergarten, Elementary Art, First Grade, and currently 2nd and 4th grade Language Arts ~ which has been a fun and rewarding adventure! My educational background consist of a BA in Elementary Education from Kearney State (now UNK!) and a MA from Doane. When not teaching or taking classes, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children (ages 11 and 13). Our family time usually involves attending our children's activities, going to the lake, and cheering on our "TITANS" and "HUSKERS" !!
My Belief Statement
As A Teacher I Believe ...
Students should be prepared for life long learning;
Therefore,
I will provide an environment which produces a love for learning.
