I am currently in my 12th year of teaching at Hebron/Thayer Central. I teach Algebra, Geometry, FST and Math Topics. I also supervise students currently taking independent classes. I am the head softball coach. Prior to teaching in Hebron, I taught in Bruning and Geneva. I graduated from UNL in August of 1986 with a B.S. in Mathematics, minors in English and Computer Science and a K-12 teaching certificate with a math endorsement. I also added an endorsement in computer science a few years ago. My teaching philosophy is that I believe all students are capable of learning. It is my job, as a teacher, to find the best way to reach each student.
I live on an acreage by Bruning with my husband, Alan, four children, Ryan, Melissa, Sara and Megan and a lot of different animals. Alan works for NuStar Pipeline in Geneva. Ryan is a 11th grader, Melissa is a 10th grader, Sara is a 8th grader and Megan is a 6th grader at Thayer Central. When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family and watching various sporting events.
