Thayer Central Elementary Donates to the Cattlemen’s Ball
Thayer Central Elementary held their annual Jingle Walk , December 22nd. Students and staff at the elementary enjoyed letting their coins JINGLE JANGLE throughout the hallways as they let their holiday spirit shine. A total of $921.39 was brought in by the students and staff; an anonymous donor donated some additional money so the total made it to $1,000.00. This enabled Thayer Central Elementary to have enough money to sponsor a cow for the Cattlemen's Ball that will be held in Hebron this June.
Shown in the picture are several elementary students, Pat Kenner and Rob Marsh, who are members of the Cattlemen’s Ball committee, and the jars of coins that were collected. The ball is an event held annually at different places in Nebraska to aid in the fight against cancer.
Thayer Central Elementary challenges all organizations in the area to get involved in this very important fight.
