Thayer Central Players Present Play

Childrens theater big hit with area elementary students

by Anne Roesner Heitmann

May 02, 2008

Thayer Central Junior/Senior High presented the children’s theater production of The Stone in the Road to area elementary students on April 25 and 30. The play was directed by Anne Roesner Heitmann and involved over 50 students in grades 7-12.

The story line had Queen Miriana putting her subjects to the test in this fast paced version of the classic fairy tale written by Kristi Thielen. A host of wacky characters passed through the scene as the Queen and her servant Barcarole watched to see who would be unselfish and move the stone in the road.
