Facility Plans Proceed

     In the last month, the school district hosted two public meetings to discuss current facility plans with the public. The district is proceeding with plans for an addition to the Intermediate building that would create the space necessary to get all students in grades Pre-K–12 to the main campus on Eads Avenue.     The district has selected the design-build construction format as opposed to the traditional design-bid-build format that was used in the previous two bond issues. Veterans Day

Thayer Central students honored our local veterans on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015. We were proud to have so many students involved on our program. We had students as young as our kindergarten who signed the National Anthem all the way up to high school students who presented a program titled, “Voices of Vietnam”.  Students sang a song to honor the Veterans, and the band played the military marches of each branch of the military.  Sixth grade presented a Quilt of Valor to Dr. Marlin Bauhard and junior, Ryan . . . read more

Quiz Bowl Champions

The Titan quiz bowl team of freshman Maggie Harris, Katelyn Richardson, Logan Luehring and 8th grader Isaac Friesen swept the competition at the annual NAMI Junior High/Freshman quiz bowl contest in Seward on November  18.  The group breezed through the morning rounds beating Cross County, Fullerton and Milford.  In the afternoon the team justified their top seed in the tournament with decisive wins over Sandy Creek, Cross County and Fullerton winning the three matches by a combined score of 635 to 295, where each toss up . . . read more
