Thayer Central Math Students Compete in Peru Math Contest

Nine Thayer Central math students traveled to Peru State College on Friday, March 16, 2018 to compete in the 25th Annual Greater Southeast Nebraska Math Challenge.  In the Geometry division, Jayden Leonard won the 1st place medal for the individual test.

Brennan Harms and Buchannan Tietjen joined Jayden to win the 1st place team plaque.  They were also second in the Geometry division of the quiz bowl.  In the Pre-calculus division, Maggie Harris, Jarod Hergott and Holly Timmerman teamed up for the 1st place team plaque.  Keith Hergott, McKenzie Johnson and Stephanie Meyer competed in the Advanced Algebra Division.  Eleven schools were represented at the contest.  Thayer Central was in Division II. Thayer Central math teacher, Deb Bulin, sponsored the students at the contest.
