State Woodmen Speech Contest
Three Thayer Central students participated in the State Woodmen Speech contest on May 23rd. The contest was co-hosted by Thayer Central Schools and Bruning-Davenport Schools and was held in the new cinema at the Majestic Theatre in Hebron. There were twelve participates from across the state of Nebraska, all of who qualified by earning a top 3 finish at the district level contests held in April. This year's topic was "What Does it Mean to be a Hero?"
Participating from Thayer Central were fifth grader Christian Krupicka, and seventh graders Megan Lukert and Cayden Huber. At the conclusion of the contest, Cayden Huber was awarded the 3rd place trophy. Congratulations!
