ACT Prep Scams

By Kathy Brzon

Scholarship, ACT Prep, and Honorary Recognition Scams

Beware of scams. There is a recent scam using the names of Dream Scholars Foundation or Education Foundation wanting money fro ACT Prep. They are very realistic and convincing, but they are a scam. If it sounds like a legitimate company or foundation, get their name and phone number and then do some research using Education Quest Foundation with offices in Lincoln, Omaha, and Kearney.
If students or parents receive a scholarship application, honor roll application, or anything to do with ACT/SAT preparation in the mail, e-mail or phone, check it out first.
True scholarships and honors are free. If you have a concern about a scholarship, honors program or ACT Prep course, please contact Mrs. Brzon at the school or the Education Quest Foundation at 800-303-3745.
