Mr. Clinton Havel is the 4th-6th science teacher at Thayer Central Community Schools. Mr. Havel has been at Thayer Central since 2006 and previously taught at Dorchester Public Schools starting in 1998. Along with his classroom duties he is the head boys’ basketball coach and an assistant football coach. He received his associate’s degree from McCook Community College in 1995 and his bachelor’s degree from UNL in 1998.
Mr. Havel is married to Kim, who works at a local community bank. Together they have three daughters: Sydny, Piper and Leah. The family enjoys vacationing during the summer trying to get to new places every year. They also enjoy attending the many different activities that Thayer Central has to offer.
Mr. Havel enjoys finding different ways to challenge his students in the classroom so that they can find multiple ways to solve problems. He is a strong advocate for the use of technology in the classroom as a tool to help enhance student learning.
