On their first day back, Thayer Central Students elected class officers for the year.
For the seniors, Michaela Marsh was elected president, with Jenica Jarchow as vice president. Cody Pachta was named secretary/treasurer.
In the junior class, Maggie Goldhammer earned the president title, with Quinn Pracheil for vice president. Sara Bulin was named secretary and Claire Johnson, treasurer.
Russ Heitmann was elected president for the sophomore class, along with Brian Loontjer for vice president, Tarryn Tietjen for secretary, and Tyler VanCleef as treasurer.

This year Thayer Central has some new faculty members.
In the elementary, Scott Hill, a Hebron High alumn, is teaching second grade. Mr. Hill will be helping to coach junior high football and basketball. Dennis Johnson, the head boys' basketball coach and an assistant football coach, comes to Thayer Central from Franklin, Nebraska. Mr. Johnson will also be teaching second grade. Thayer Central also has a new head football coach, Josh Lanik. Mr. Lanik teaches P.E. and health K-12.

The TC Cross Country edition for 2010 will be a big splash of senior-led experience with a mixture of newcomers.
The Titans will be led by Kesston Fink, a state qualifier in his sophomore year who is running hungry in his last season at Thayer Central. Kesston will be joined by fellow seniors and letter winners Nathan Seaman and Andrew Craig.
