Quilts of Valor

Following the Civil War, Abraham Lincoln said, “Let us . . . care for him who has done the battle.”  Thayer Central 6 th grade, in coordination with the Thayer County Extension Office and the 4-H Enrichment Program, created 2 --Quilts of Valor. Add to the Flock

Huge flocks of Passenger Pigeons once flew across our skys and thanks to Mrs. Anne Baden, they are flying in the intermediate library as a part of the Lost Bird Project.  Students folded the origami pigeons to help remember the Passenger Pigeon, which is now extinct.
