This holiday season, the Thayer Central music teachers are thankful for all of these 9-12 band and choir students, a school culture that supports the arts, supportive and encouraging staff, parents who encourage their students to make music, and administrators who support a schedule which allows students to participate! The Thayer Central Music Department has 83 students in band and choir and was recognized by the Nebraska Music Educators Association with a participation award for 57% of the high school student body enrolled in a music class. We encourage everyone to come to a concert this spring and hear these musicians in action!
