Drug Free Poster Winners 2021

Thayer Central Elementary students in grades 5 & 6 were given the opportunity to submit a poster for the Thayer County Healthy Communities Coalition poster contest. There were 34 students who submitted banners with three students being selected to get their posters turned into banners. 6th grade student Oliva Wiedel’s poster “Donut Worry – Be Drug Free”, 5th grade student Ryann Pulliam’s poster “Don’t Be That Ape That Wants to Vape”, and Josie Sudbeck’s poster “Twinkle - Twinkle - Little Star -  If You Do Drugs - You Won’t Go Far” were selected as winners for this school year.

The goal of the program is to help create awareness of the importance of staying drug and alcohol free.

These banners, and the other banners from previous year, are hanging in the north hallway of the Thayer Central Elementary building.
