Thayer Central Community Schools COVID/Variant Case Update:

Students:  8                      Staff:  7

Notes from TCCS Board of Education Special Meeting earlier today:

Cases have been occurring with some frequency at Thayer Central over the past two weeks.  The Board of Education is concerned that school operations could be affected if trends continue regarding positive cases involving staff members.  The school requires a certain percentage of staff to be available in order to provide services to our communities to include keeping the doors to our school open.

If you are sick, please stay at home.  If you have a fever, you must be 24 hours fever free, without the use of medicines, to return to school.

The Board of Education and Administration are closely monitoring COVID conditions at Thayer Central as we work together to make educational decisions.  The Board will meet again on Tuesday, September 7th at 12:00 noon to receive an in-person update and discuss district planning moving forward.

District COVID Protocol Edit:

When there is a positive diagnosis for COVID or COVID Variant the district requires 10 days of isolation.  This is a change from highly recommending 10 days of isolation.
