The Kindergarten class has begun participating in Motor Lab each week in addition to their regular Physical Education curriculum. Each day, 5-7 Kindergarten students participate in the Ready Bodies Learning Minds program that Thayer Central has begun implementing this school year. Under the direction of Mr. Lanik with assistance and guidance from Occupational Therapists Jessica Turner and Justin Johnson, the students participate in a wide variety of motor skill development to aid in their development in the classroom. Motor Lab is designed to stimulate the child's sensory systems, build a structure for the acquisition of academic skills as well as improve a child's ability to maneuver and function in their environment.
