Happy New Year!!
The Superintendent will present Eric Hoops to the Board of Education on January 10th with the recommendation that Mr. Hoops become the Elementary Principal at Thayer Central beginning with the 2022-2023 school year! Mr. Hoops is currently the Elementary Principal in Chanute Kansas and is from the area originally, he is a Deshler graduate. Mr. Hoops has a wife and two children, all are excited to return to the area, Mrs. Hoops is originally from Belleville.
A huge "Thank You" goes out to all four candidates who applied and interviewed for this position. Each candidate was outstanding individually and created a talented group from which the district could select it's next Elementary Principal!
An equally sincere "Thank You" goes out to all who represented Thayer Central and participated in the interview process. Staff, Community, and Board of Education members created a fantastic environment for each candidate and provided critical insight into the selection process! My sense of pride in Thayer Central and our communities couldn't have been greater on Monday!
