The 2022 Thayer County Spelling Bee was held Monday, January 17th at the Thayer County Courthouse. Thayer Central Community Schools was represented by Nora Peithmann, Laiden Heinrichs, Tenley Lanham, Peyton Hubl, Lillee Poisel, and Maggie Johnson in the fifth and sixth grade contest. These students worked hard to prepare for the contest, resulting in some amazing accomplishments. Nora Peithmann spelled every word correctly. This is quite the accomplishment! Nora was awarded first place for fifth grade with Laiden earning 3rd place. Tenley served as the alternate. Awards for the sixth grade were Peyton: 2nd place, Maggie: 3rd place, and Lillee: 4th place. Congratulations to these amazing TITANS!
