First grade completed their unit all about habitats. Students learned interesting facts on their virtual field trip to 7 different habitats. They enjoyed working together to create dioramas of their habitats.
Mrs. Longs 2nd grade March Madness book bracket has come to an end with The Good Egg crowned as the winner. Along with voting, we also enjoyed a basketball themed snack.

Mrs. Kowalski's Kindergarten class had an Egg Hunt in their classroom. Instead of candy, students found addition or subtraction problems! They were rocking these equations today!😊

Congratulations to the Thayer Central Speech Team on another successful season! Though State Speech left some wanting more, it's no small achievement that we had 6 of our awesome speakers competing at the state level. We are proud of you! Thank you to all of our speech family and friends for your support at Kearney and throughout the season. Finally, thank you to Coach Brumond, Coach Wright, and our entire TC Speech Team for your hard work and dedication these last 4 months. Yay Speech and Go Titans!

The Thayer Central Music Department would like to share some highlights from our trip with you! This past Friday-Monday we travelled down to Dallas, TX and were able to do a bunch of sightseeing, learning, and music making! Medieval Times, the Fort Worth Stockyards, Rodeo, AT&T Stadium, the Blue Man Group, Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum, and the Skyline View GeoDeck were all part of our fun-filled four days! Buc-ees, though not in the official timeline, was another fan favorite. We'd like to thank the directors from Texas Wesleyan University for working with our students and helping us prepare for District Music. Thank you also to our trip sponsors Melany Winans, Wendy Helfrich, Tami Logsdon, Mr. Miller, Mrs. VanderSchaaf, and Ms. Wright! You are what make the trip possible!
Congrats to Ceres Lemke-Koch, Eli VanderSchaaf, Addysen Cast, Jacob Mostek, and Easton Moore for auditioning and being selected to the Meridian JH Honor Band and Choir. Eli was selected to play trombone in the band and Ceres, Addysen, Jacob, and Easton were selected for the choir. On Friday, March 27th, the students worked with choir clinician Kevin Boesiger and band clinician Lori Falcone and put on a concert that evening. We're proud of these TC musicians for their hard work and excellent music-making!!
