💙💛FFA LDE results: parliamentary team earned red, Conner & Colter got red in the FFA Creed, Becca got a blue & TK a purple in job interview, ag demo team of Caitlyn & Taivry earned a blue. Cayden got a purple in Extemp & earned a trip to State Convention in April to compete! 💙💛
A talented group of students qualified for the Thayer County Spelling Contest today. Pictured in the group photo are Carson McLaughlin, Addison Marsh, Braelyn Degenhardt, and Mackenzie Hergott (spelling contestants) and Macy Heitmann and Raegan Theis (alternates). Carson and Mackenzie both earned 2nd Place in their division, and Addison earned 3rd Place. Way to go, Titans!
NOTICE: The HS basketball games this afternoon vs. Milford will begin at 2:00 with 2 quarters of JV girls. There will not be a JV boys game; thus, the girls varsity game will tip-off at 3:00 with the varsity boys game to follow the girls varsity.

District Update on COVID/Omicron Guidance and Response

Kicking off a new semester of JH FCS class with this group of 8th grade students. Today, we did the cup-stacking challenge, a fun and sometimes frustrating activity. These students showed their terrific Titan teamwork skills!
Project Getting Off The Ground!
Merry Christmas to All,
While we have seen flat work, dirt work, footings, and block laying for the past few months, now the project is getting above the ground. Hollow Core began being laid on top of the block this week and by the end of the day tomorrow will span the majority of the East portion of the project. This material creates the ceilings for the locker rooms, training room, offices, and storage rooms while at the same time becoming the floor for the new mezzanine. More loads of Hollow Core will arrive on site today (Wednesday) after lunch.
Steel has begun to to arrive on site this week. At this point three semi-trailer loads of steel has made it's way onto the work site. We look for steel erection to begin on or around January 3rd. The first phase of this steel erection will build the large East Box of the new construction.
The final footing was poured on site yesterday for the complete project. There are still a few piers to build on top of these footings, but the footprint of the new building is now visible on the site.
The school is working to shoot a video that can shared with the public to update progress. For now the still shots I took this morning will have do!
