The physics students are calculating the mass of an unknown object using Newton’s 2nd law.
The fifth grade students have been learning about Early American Civilizations in Reading Class. Today they learned that the Inca had no written language so the emperor had to communicate with other governors by word of mouth through messengers using relay stations. To show how non-efficient this was, students played a game of telephone to confirm that information traveling by word of mouth through messengers don't also get communicated as intended. We're thankful for written language!

The TC Staff is excited to host the WAFFLEMAN on Dec. 1, serving 5:00-7:30pm in the TC cafeteria. It is sure to be a "SWEET" start to a great basketball season as TC hosts Republic County that evening. We encourage all to attend.

Thayer Central Open House
December 1st at 3:00 PM in the New Gym
Please come join with the school and community for an, "Open House" as we celebrate the opening of the new facilities in our district! We will have a short presentation in the new gym followed by tours of the new addition. Stay for a cookie, the Waffle Man, and the Boys and Girls Basketball Jamboree Games!

First Grade finished their Knowledge Unit about Early Civilization. We learned about Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. We celebrated by having fun creating our own Great Pyramids!

Thayer Central musicians were a part of two events on Wednesday. Addie and Mackenzie were selected to the Mid-Level All-State Choir and Lakin and Eli participated in the Orff Ensemble. Way to go, Titans!
The Fairbury Elks Lodge 1203 awarded five gift
certificates for students making healthy life choices. Several other students won prizes as well awarded by the school.
The certificates were presented after Ray Lozano, a national speaker on drug addiction made a presentation at Thayer Central High School.
FFA Fruit, Meat and Cheese sales are wrapping up let us know if you would like to order yet.
Select seniors got to visit Wayne State College today. Lots of exciting changes in their futures!

The girls basketball team ended their conditioning week with a trip to Lincoln to watch the Husker women's basketball team defeat Houston Christian! Time to get to work on Monday to officially start our season! Go Titans!
