Kindergarten competed in their annual Nursery Rhyme Olympics with the completion of their Knowledge Unit. Students learned about what Olympics were and then competed in their own games based off of Nursery Rhymes we read. Some included: Humpty Dumpty, Little Bo Peep, Jack and Jill, Jack Be Nimble, and many more! We ended our Olympics with a medal ceremony, watching some Olympic games, and creating our own gold medal snacks! It was a great two days of competition!

These fabulous choir members participated in the Doane Froshmore Vocal Festival on September 24th. They got to perform with 200+ students from around the state, Doane Choir members, and a string ensemble. We are proud of how Lilyana, Sonia, Roy ,Ethan, Alex and Kaleb represented Thayer Central at this festival!

The Thayer Central Junior High Volleyball team traveled to Belleville to compete in the Republic County Tournament. They won their pool with 2 set wins over Beloit, Washington County and Minneapolis. In the championship game, the Titans defeated Republic County in 2 sets.

Public Health Solutions will be at Thayer Central NEXT Thursday, October 2nd to give flu shots to students and staff. Paperwork will be sent home in Friday folders with Elementary students this week. Thayer Central FFA Boosters will be providing a Meal Deal on Friday, September 26th from 6-7:30 pm on the North side of the school. The Meal Deal will be only $6 for Hamburger or Brat, Chips and a HOMEMADE Treat! We are looking forward to seeing you there!
