We would like to thank the Fairbury Elks Lodge for presenting us with a check towards our backpack program.

College Algebra students did a linear regression activity using Twizzlers, Laffy Taffy, Sweetart Ropes or Fruit by the Foot. They had to measure each bite and make an equation to use for predictions. Always fun to have a snack in class.

In October, 1st grade learned about the human body. We studied 5 body systems, discussed how to keep our body healthy, and planned what a healthy meal would look like. 🩺On Surgery day we started our day by a demonstration of the digestive system using crackers. Next, we made a model of the lungs to show inhale and exhale. 🫁We had special guests, Dr. Heinrichs and Dr. Myers come visit and talk to us about their jobs. 🥼The afternoon was spent rotating to different organs and solving math problems. 🧠🫀The extension office came and demonstrated a lesson on germs.

Anatomy and Physiology students tried their hand at suturing this week to close out their unit on the Integument system. When it was all finished Anessa B. and Kaelyn B's sutures looked the best

💛💙FFA member of the month is Jace Williams! Congratulations!!! 💙💛

🧑🏭 These student's are rocking our Reinke welding this year. They all turned in test pieces today before we go on a break for 1.5 weeks for new paint in Deshler. Looking good guys! 🧑🏭

4th graders having some Halloween fun. Can you guess whose eyes are on each ghost? And for any 80s fan... we changed the song lyric a tad on our display.

Thayer Central hosted a youth volleyball league on Sundays throughout September, wrapping up with a tournament last weekend to close out the fall season. Thank you to everyone who helped make this program a success—the volunteer coaches for their time and dedication, the Thayer Central volleyball team members for officiating, keeping score, and serving as role models for the younger athletes, and the parents who assisted in the concession stand and with clean-up. Most importantly, thank you to the young athletes—the future of TCVB—for representing themselves and their school with enthusiasm and pride.

Thank you so much Hebron Fire Department for coming to speak to our preschool classes about fire safety! We loved trying on your gear, exploring the inside of the fire trucks and ambulance, and watching how far the water can go from the truck! This was “the best day ever!” 🚒🔥
