On Monday November 25th, three members of Thayer Central SkillsUSA were honored along with all other National Medalists in Career Education Contests at the Rotunda in the State Capitol. Peyton, Aiden, and Jaxson Placed Third at Nationals last summer in Atlanta.

The first grade classes have been learning about Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt. We studied early civilization with a focus on farming, leaders, cities, writing and religion.They were intrigued by how pyramids were built! They enjoyed writing in cuneiform, building pyramids and doing some art!
