Second grade wrapped up their unit on Westward Expansion by getting crafty. We made paper quilts where each patch reflected key events from the 1850s.
We also made milk carton covered wagons. Earlier in the unit, Ranger Doug presented the Buffalo Trunk and taught us how Native Americans used the buffalo. Second grade had a blast traveling back in time!
