SENIOR NIGHT!!!!

TONIGHT - The Titan Basketball team will take the court against the Raiders of Southern. It is also Senior Night for Basketball and Cheer. Girls Basketball Senior Recognition will take place prior to the Girls Varsity Game; Boys Basketball prior to their Varsity Game; Cheer Seniors will be recognized at Halftime of the Boys Varsity Game.

SCHEDULE:
4:30 - JV Games (Girls in Elementary Gym - 2 Quarters; Boys in High School Gym - 4 Quarters)
6:15 - Girls Varsity in HS Gym
8:00 (approximate) - Boys Varsity in HS Gym

Miss Wiedel's 2nd graders enjoyed some Valentine's fun. Wishing all the TC Titans a lovely four day weekend & a Happy Valentine's Day!

After a brief break due to weather and scheduling, the Thayer Central Speech Team continued their season at the Shelby-Rising City meet last Saturday. Congratulations to all on their fine performances at our first Finals meet- Ethan Rinaker 3rd Novice Extemp, Kenzie 5th in Varsity Serious Prose, Riley 7th in Entertainment Speaking, Riley and Deklann 12th in Duet, Macy and Nora 5th in Duet.

Thank you to MetalQuest and Will for allowing the Titan 7th grade robotics class to see robots in action.

Today the Senior Career/Life Skills class had the opportunity to learn from Deputy Geiger about some important basic laws. Some of the topics included: How to respond in a basic traffic stop, what to do if they get into a car accident, age of majority, and other basic law violations and consequences. Thank you Deputy Geiger for the enlightening information!

UPDATED BASKETBALL SCHEDULE:

Due to illness, there will be NO GIRLS BASKETBALL TONIGHT at Shelby-Rising City. The Boys game is still on, with a new game time of 6:15.

Once again, no girls basketball tonight. Boys will play at 6:15 in Shelby.

Reminder: Parent Teacher Conferences will be held Wednesday, February 11th from 1:45PM-8:00PM. Remember to stop by the book fair while you're here.

Parents of Juniors & 8th grade students mark your calendars! Wednesday, February 11th, there will be a meeting for you and your student(s) in regards to graduations requirements and other things you will most likely find helpful as your student moves in and through high school. See you there!

Mrs. Heitmann's afternoon class took advantage of the weather and painted on the playground. Painting on a vertical surface strengthens shoulders, wrists, and fingers. We also worked on crossing midline!

What a weekend for Thayer Central Girls wrestling!! Three medalists heading to state (Aydrian, Brianna, and Braelyn), a District Champion (Braelyn), and 5th place as a team out of 35 schools! Great work ladies and coaches! We're proud of the work the team put in all season and look forward to seeing the medalists wrestle in Omaha at State! Go Titans!!

Preschool Enrollment For 2026-2027 School Year!

Wednesday, February 11th From 1:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. At Thayer Central Elementary School Lobby!

Eli and Ceres were the two Thayer Central JH singers selected for the Singing Youth of Nebraska Choir held at the Masonic Auditorium in Hastings on January 31st. They were selected from over 400 auditions from across the state and worked with students from 42 schools to put on a wonderful concert. Congrats to these two singers!

Five singers from Thayer Central auditioned and were selected for the UNK Choir Festival held January 26th! James and Wyatt were selected to the Honor Choir and Alex, Roy, and Kaleb were selected to the Festival Choir. We're proud of these TC singers and the concert they put on that evening!

SNC SATURDAY!!!

Both Titan Teams will be in action TOMORROW at Centennial High School in Utica. First, the Boys team will compete against the Broncos in a consolation matchup at 12 noon. Then, the Titan Girls team will play for 3rd Place against the Sutton Fillies at 3:00 PM! Let's Go TITANS!!!
