Congratulations to the Titan Cheer Squad on a great day at the Heartland Championships! The girls placed 4th in C2/D Game Day, 1st in C2/D Traditional Non-Tumbling/Non-Building, and overall Class Champions in C2/D! A special shout out to Nora Peithmann for winning the Jump Off! Way to go Titans!!
Thayer Central Speech started off their season yesterday at the Adams Central Speech Meet. Congratulations to Nora Peithmann for 6th and Ethan Rinaker for 5th place finishes for Novice Humorous Prose. Macy Heitman and Nora finished 5th in Varsity Duet. Congratulations to all! TC Girls Athletics have had quite the week with some special events.
On Thursday, the TC Girls Wrestling team attended the Norm Manstaedt Meet at the Columbus YMCA Fieldhouse. 60+ schools, 10 mats, ranked wrestlers around each corner. A mini-state meet in January!
Today, the TC Girls Basketball team gets to compete against Alma at the NE Girls BB Showcase. 16 teams, 8 games, all day excellent from the great facilities at Kearney High!
It's been a Great Week to be a Lady Titan!
During the week of January 6-9th, members of the Senior Life/Career Skills class participated in an outreach experience at The Courtyard Terrace Assisted Living Home. Seniors at Thayer Central had the opportunity to have conversations with the residents about their lives as well as play various games throughout the week such as: trivia bingo, Uno, horse races, and wheel of fortune. These experiences were valuable to not only the students but the residents as well.
