Nine students from Thayer Central attended Criminal Justice Day in Action Day at Central Community College in Grand Island. They had the opportunity to explore a Crime House for CSI, take part in a Drone Demonstration, explore an Armored Tactical Vehicle with Robot, experience a K-9 Demonstration, take part in a Mock Court Experience, and learn a little more about what the Department of Corrections entails. It was a great day and great experiences!

A frightfully fun way for students to start thinking about saving for college is manifesting! The first of four Middle School College Savings Scholarship drawings creeps up on Halloween.
After completing a quick, 10-minute “boo-tiful” activity about the importance of saving for college, students and their parents can print and mail in an entry form for a chance to snag one of five $200 scholarship treats!
Entries carry over, so the earlier students enter the more chances they have to win. Don’t let this haunting opportunity escape!
Thayer Central will celebrate Red Ribbon Week this week, October 27-31. The theme is: Life is a Puzzle-Solve it Drug Free. The National Honor Society came up with school-wide dress up days. Monday is Pajama Day! We hope to see everyone in their comfy pajamas Monday!

The Thayer Central JHFB team finished up their season on Monday, October 13th. We had a group of 20 players that got better every day, worked hard every day, and did what they were asked to do every day. It was a great group to work every day in practice and at our games.
Thank you to all of our parents who volunteered to help out with our Chain Gang at home games and our players and parents who helped out with our team's concession stand. It is all very much appreciated!
