Today the Kindergarten class attended a WEDDING, for the letters "Q" and "U". We learned that "Q" is always followed by "U" and are together forever! When students entered the ceremony they signed the guest book and took their seats. They then watched "Q" and "U" say their vows to be together forever. After the wedding we had a reception with cake and dancing!

First Grade completed their Astronomy unit in their CKLA reading curriculum. We learned about constellations, inner/outer planets, the moon and the sun. Students created solar system head bands to show the order of the planets. With all the facts that we learned, the students made a model of their planet and wrote a report. To end our unit we had a “Space Day” where we solved math problems based around the planets. Students created rockets to launch into space and explored how far apart the planets are from one another. 🌎🪐⭐️🌙
We would like to recognize and celebrate our School Counselor Mrs. Kathy Brzon. As we head into National School Counselor Week we are reminded of the hard work happening behind the scenes of the everyday schedule here at Thayer Central. Thank you for all you do Mrs. Brzon!
