Thayer County Health Services is again teaming up with Thayer Central by offering CURRENT Thayer Central Students in grades 7-11 physicals for $25 on WEDNESDAY, MAY 6, 2026. Thayer Central will provide transportation to and from the clinic. ALL forms and payment must be with your child at the time of the appointment. For the last month, the Senior Career/Life Skills class has been visiting the Courtyard Terrace and participating in different activities with the residents. One week the group put together and decorated bird houses, the next week many card games took place, and this week Nebraska Jingo was played. Thank you Kelly Howe for organizing a great experience!

TC staff held a "Staff Spirit Week". Monday was "Inside-Out" day, Tuesday was "Twin Day", Wednesday was "Anything But A Cup" day (some very creative "cups"), Thursday was "Holiday Havoc" and the week ended with "Socks and Sandals". It was fun to hear the students' reactions!
Leah Havel in triple jump and Cole Vorderstrasse in shot put and discus show off their school records with giant lollipops and the title belt after breaking their own records this past Tuesday at Superior.
Quite a few PB's picked up by Titan track athletes this week. Congratulations on improving your bests!
Tara Kuhlmann from Western National Bank spent time educating the seniors on how to properly fill out a car loan application as well as analyze a monthly expense budget based on their anticipated career after high school and/or college. This was definitely an eye-opening activity! Thank you Tara!
On our way to Fairbury for DMC Day 2! Band performs at 10:28 and choir at 2:00 with 3 small groups in between. It's a great day to make music!

As we head into spring, Thayer Central SkillsUSA is offering a service of getting your mower or other small power equiment tuned up and ready for the season. Bring up your mower, tiller, etc or contact Mr Keim and we can pick it up, and deliver to you when finished. We will offer this service until May 7th. All proceeds to go to our National Leadership Contest in Atlanta this June.
Congrats Morgan Bolte for breaking her own JH shot records by 3 feet!!! Her throw was 36 ft 7 in!!!
First grade completed our fairytale unit in reading. We learned about the elements in a fairytale. The students did a great job of creating their own back drops and performing for the kindergarten students.
We also had some Thayer Central Royalty come read a fairy tale! 👑

It's District Music Contest Week! Come see the HS Band and Choir students perform at DMC in Fairbury on Thursday and Friday! If you can't make it to Fairbury, you can see the solos and small groups perform at our recital on Wednesday, the 22nd at 3:45 in the vocal music room. All of these students will also perform at our Spring Concert on April 30th. Good luck to our wonderful musicians!
